2020-2021 were some tough years for our Chapters. Red Knights NY III and NY LIII lost some good friends way too early. It was only fitting that on the weekend of 9/11's 21st anniversary, members of both chapters travelled to Boylston, MA to honor the lives of our departed friends: NY III Charter Member Howard Mierek, Active Members Roy "Doc" Oyangen, John Green, and Steve "Lefty" Wright, Honorary Member Reverend Paul "RPP" Panos, and NY LIII Member, Wendy Murphy Rocke. We were joined by Founding Fathers, Don Parker and Ed Wright, as well as members of local Mass Chapters and NY State Association Officers. Our friends names were added to the Red Knights Memorial and Chapter "Heaven 1", carried by the ringing of the "Striking of the Four Fives". While there, our own "Queen" Deb Landy was honored with a plaque at the Memorial Home for her work on the bedroom quilts.
The weekend was finished with a visit to the Worcester 6 Memorial and a somber remembrance of the 9/11 tragedy.
