It was a "Safety Dance" at RKMC NY III's inaugural KICKSTANDS UP party! Combining our annual Holiday party and the Spring Fling, the committee took the commitment to Safety up a notch. Although Safety is nothing to joke about, our President Pat O'Connor's silly safety videos ARE! The whole party was safety themed, decorated with traffic cones and neon vests, our members were even encouraged to wear their safety colors.
Special guests Lexi Sjurseth (America's 9-11 Ride Foundation), Jim and Sally Rypkema (from the Hague Market), and NH9 Members Carl and Kathy Smith (now NY III Members) were honored. The Road Captain's Award was given to Tony Vogt for always being our "Senior Man" (you firefighters will get it). Music, fun, and lots and lots of food! The evening was crowned with the presentation of a handmade, custom Executive Table, a live edge wood slab, decorated with RKMC NY III and S.K.O.F.U., sitting on top of a unique motorcycle frame, and adorned with SCBA bottles. Thank you for the hard work, Casey "Sheldon" Clemens! This table is a proud edition to our clubhouse!
